Thanks to all the good people out there who shared their work … it helped a great deal to progress and learn much faster!
In the same spirit I will post on this page some freebies to download.
Just give me a little time to get organized and prepare some stuff that might be of interest to you!

UPDATE V.2.0 – Cbiz ScrewIt Rig to fix stuff quickly

I build this useful rig for mainly mechanical modeling to make life a bit easier. whenever and wherever I need to “tighten a bolt” in my models, I grab this Xpresso driven Rig to save some precious time and I hope that it might come in handy for you too!

Cbiz ScrewIt Rig

although best used for 1:1 modeling and to keep “realistic” sizes, but this updated version 2 lets you scale the bolts to model even big ships ; )
in the User-Data-Tab you’ll find all necessary settings to fit the bolt to your needs and you could drop the “Cbiz ScrewIt Rig” into a Cloner for multiple instances for example.

here a quick overview of the “Cbiz ScrewIt Rig” and what to expect from it:

Manuel’s PythonGeo

Based on Manuel’s tutorial “CREATING GEOMETRY WITH PYTHON IN C4D” I created a little rig to have all XPresso and Python ready in a file with some user-data to fill in and get started right away!

– start preparing your scene on frame 2 (or above)!
– drag your object (must be a polygonal object) into the corresponding user-data field
– adjust the settings to your liking

just be careful with the “Number of Points” and “Distance” you’ll set! danger to freeze your machine!

– rewind the timeline and play the scene more then 2 frames
– in the Geo-Null you’ll find all the created Splines
– delete them all if you wish to start over or add a Sweep, Hair or X-Particle Material to render your scene
