almost 9 meters (30 feet) long and 3 meters high (10feet) space available in a confectionery and “almost” the absolut freedom to create whatever I wanted.
“the gods“ of chocolate and all those fine goodies became my theme including the client’s wish to show his products with it.
sketched on paper, built and rendered with Cinema 4D with all elements including smoke (using TurbulenceFD) and finally composed in Affinity Photo.
the client is convinced about the power of 3D and asked me next to the shop-window illustration to also suggest an exterior renovation to modernize his shop.
only thing about the chocolates I modeled during the first stage is that he would prefere to use photographs of his actual range of chocolates,
and would like to have his portrait very abstractly integrated into the final illustration of his shop-window.
no problem to use photographs and 2D in Cinema 4D: the chocolates are now projected onto simple planes and using the Cloner with different effectors to make them swarm in a wavy shape.
still waiting for the portrait to get into final stage, but just for presenting I used an available portrait to create an halftone effect to use as a background. a cloner of spheres with the mograph shader effector applied were used to achieve a pattern of different sized dots to keep it abstract and only from a certain distance it will reveal itself as a photograph.
the post work was done in Photoshop to combine the background and the chocolate-swarm.
back into Cinema 4D using the camera calibration tool with a photograph of his actual shop to present the new modernized look in a way only the power of 3D could do so easily and realistically:
the actual shop
and presenting the applied illustration to how the shop might look like in the future
hmmm this is a rough job to model all these mouth-watering yummy delicacy chocolates and quiet challenging to get it right.
but fortunately I got some samples to study closely ; )
this is the 1st step into this project to show off the power of 3D and to convince the client of its possibilities.
the goal is to do create an illustration for the shop windows with this kind of background running across:
this is are just quick renders to get the idea across … stay tuned for the finals
